Yes, we have no drought conditions anywhere in Florida! South Florida is flooded. My cousin in Ft Lauderdale had over half of her privacy fence blown down. The fence is only two years old after being replaced from a hurricane two years ago. Though her property is high and dry, much of Ft Lauderdale is flooded having received over 16 inches of rain from Eta. I did ride to church Sunday before the rains set in Sunday evening. Yesterday was definitely not a riding day. Today will not be much better.C, i think Fa is going to be wet for a long time.
That's the tropics for you.Wow, it's hard to imagine so much rain![]()
Exactly!Good for you, one thing when my wife and i looked for land to build on we made sure it had some elevation. The first 10 years after college i worked in the engineering field i remember the sanitary engineers saying always remember that :: runs down hill.
I slept through it, we had .47" of rain before midnight and 1.76 " from midnight to 6:00 am and the highest recorded wind gust was 27 mph at ground level. When hurricane Irma passed over us it was still at hurricane strength but at ground level the highest gust was at 42 mph. I have a Davis industries weather station that updates the wind every 2 1/2 seconds.Exactly!.
The worst is over for us. Just some gusty winds and passing tropical rains. It should be clear this afternoon.
Ah, i like your weather station.I slept through it, we had .47" of rain before midnight and 1.76 " from midnight to 6:00 am and the highest recorded wind gust was 27 mph at ground level. When hurricane Irma passed over us it was still at hurricane strength but at ground level the highest gust was at 42 mph.
