trophy handle bars adjustment !

after the ride out i had at the wkend ,i've decided that i can live with the screen , i can live with the seat !
but the one thing i have got to change is the handle bars ! the bloke that designed that angle must have been tiny.
there just to narrow and turned in to much ! i like my bars straiter , i find my self sitting my hands on top of the bars thumbs up, not a safe way to ride.
the hight is fine though,so ive had a look and i think i can make them adjustable, i will let you now how i get on !

Most people complain about the stock saddle.....they call it "the nutcracker" as no matter where you start out on it, you always end up pushed forward into the tank.

Then they complain that their wrists begin to tingle and eventually will "go to sleep" after awhile.

I haven't heard of anyone saying the bars are too narrow or turned-in too much, but we all have our differences.

For me, the bike fits me just right...... although I did add about 1.5 inches to the bar height with Gen Mar risers because I don't care to lean on the grips without them.

no problem with hands tingling ! (mind you i have hardly any feeling in them anyway ,to many years on the chain saw )
i think i can re drill the hole for the allen bold futher back ,and re thread it so i can push bars out a bit .
i just dont find it a natural angle for me !

I was wondering how you'd accomplish this adjustment, but that sounds like a workable plan for sure.

I assume you already took into consideration how far you can go before they would hit the fairing when at full lock, right and left?

well job done ! turns out that the angle i want means you have to drill a quarter in to the exsisting hole , ( a delicate operation !) but with a bit of patience it can be done !
ive taking some pics and will post as soon as i can find my lead !

now you drill your holes,but be carefull not to slip in to existing holes as they are very close ! and rethread .

I recently purchased a 2001 Trophy 900. I haven't taken possession as yet, but I do know from the test ride that I believe I will need the risers.
From the pictures I've seen it appears there is a cover on top of the handlebar connectors.
When you installed the Gen Mar risers does the cover fit back on or do you have to modify it to get it back in place, OR, do you just leave it off altogether?
If you have a pic of how your's looks it would help me out alot.

Figment,

You have to modify the plastic cover a little bit and if you buy your risers from Gen Mar, they give you a template.

If you follow their template, it'll look just as good and no one will even realize you have the risers.
