Good evening all

I have a question about the finish on the petrol tank. I have just got a brand new blue tiger 900 GT Pro in Blue and I have a Bonneville T120 too (lucky me).

Anyway the question is the left side tank panel at the bottom front which is plastic is very loose to an extent that you can lift it up and push it in particularly at its back end so that it clicks and can be pulled away by about 10mm from the metal tank.

The right hand side is tight and flush but the left.......

Ive never noticed this on the 850 sport or other 900 tigers and I was wondering whether all tigers have the same shoddiness or Triumph have let their normal cosmetic excellence slip :-)

It would be great if someone could check theirs and let me know if they have the same issue so that i can either accept it or if it is not normal take it up with Triumph.

ride Safe all :-)

Good morning from Shropshire, I have just been to check my Tiger 900GT which is 18 months old. All bodywork etc in the tank area is fitting properly and does not have the issue you describe. I hope you can get it sorted quickly.
I just love my bike, my only mod is Grip Puppies which eradicate that small tingle when "winding it on".
I find the already forgiving engine is even better using super unleaded.
Take care. Russell.

Good morning

thank you for this response I hope I can get it sorted pretty quick and the dealer is responsive.n I have had a look at the parts catalogue and it appears that there are two strips of double sided adhesive in the panel kit but Ive looked at my panel and there are no strips!

I ordered the frip puppies to be fitted too as I noted the same 'tingle' when I was test riding the 900.

Heres hoping ..............

Ride safe :-)
