I know some guys have had trouble with their turns signal stems breaking for no apparent reason on the Tiger 800's. Triumph has replaced them under warranty and some of the replacements have broken. I am glad to see the cause has been identified and will be corrected. My 800 XC falls in that range; but I have had no trouble with mine. If I get notified, I will have mine replaced.

One of mine broke coming back from a trip one night. I felt something hit my knee but I didn't think anything of it. Then at a rest stop I noticed that the turn signal was hanging down by its wires. At first I was pissed because earlier I had parked correctly next to a Harley that wasn't parked correctly and I might have been closer than he liked so I thought that he may have broken it on purpose. But then later I thought about the slap on my knee and then though I had hit a bird with my turn signal at speed. I bought a replacement but didn't think it should have broken that easily. I mean, will they break every time I take a fall? So the last time I was at the dealer they said there is a recall and they had four in stock, so I had them replaced.

I will call Triumph and see if they will reimburse me for the one I replaced out-of-pocket.
