Good review. I like Tourmaster products; they are a really good value for the money. I have a Tourmaster ventilated jacket and ventilated riding pants.
Tourmaster make a great product and the prices are more than reasonable.
I have a Tourmaster waist length textile jacket that I like very much and which kept me dry in the pouring rain in Newfoundland last year.
I also have a hip length Firstgear textile jacket that is also waterproof.
If I didn't have the jackets I do have now I would be getting one of these for spring and fall wear.

They sure do look nice but I still need to convince myself not to use leather 
When I was younger, I could not afford leather. Now I know it is just too hot and humid here for leather.
It was a long time before I could afford leather as well but once I started I was sold on it

its still the best protection in my view.
I definitely agree that leather is the best protection. The problem is that in the heat and humidity here, the majority of the riders get too overheated and do not wear it during the summer. Thus my Tourmaster mesh with armor offers far superior protection to no protection at all. And riding with the mesh jacket is actually cooler than riding with no jacket. If it gets too hot for me to ride with the mesh jacket, I don't ride.
I don't really notice the heat much when I am riding for some reason
I also have leather jackets as well as a mesh textile jacket so I have something for all seasons.............except winter

Rocky, winter where you are is not fit for human habitation let alone riding!
