I've been taking my Tiger 800 roadie off road more and more since I first got it.
I don't have the XC because I have a really short inseam, about 28" so, even the roadie with the low seat in the low position is kind of pushing it for my comfort level.
But I've been wondering more and more if I should ditch the cast wheels for offroad and get a set of spoked wheels for the dirt.
I've seen a lot of good press for Woody's Wheels and other options, but am not sure what a set of wheels would cost?
The other thing I was looking at was trying to buy a set of spoked wheels from an Explorer XC which has the same size wheels as the 800 roadie, but spoked, not cast, plus they also seem to be tubeless which I would prefer if possible.
But the only place that I've seen to buy the Explorer XC wheels, http://www.triumphestore.com/a/Triu...79958/Front-Wheel---Spoked/100063378-3-2.html, has a note in all caps, "DO NOT FIT TO BIKES ORIGINALLY FITTED WITH CAST WHEELS."
What is that all about? What would the issue with that be? Odd. Any thoughts, suggestions or alternatives would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
