Here are some artist impressions and interpretations of what the next “Tiger 675†(Tiger Cub?) presumably will look like.
As with the Street Triple vis-à-vis the Speed Triple, between the Tiger 1050 and the Tiger 675 probably will be basically just a scale down in size.
I’m looking forward to it! :y18:

Not what I was expecting, not Retro enough for me and seems to be in a similar mould to the Street Triple. It dosn,t stand out as a classic Triumph like the Bonnie,s and Thunderbird does, and I remember the Cub as part of the 60,s biking scene.
But then again nostalgia is not what it used to be :y18:

Not a bad looking bike, for sure. I like the looks of the Tiger, and, as long as I have my T-Bird, I have the retro look I want. I am thinking about doing some comparison shopping on a Sprint and a Tiger. Both make good long distance riders, and the difference for me will be the riding position because of my messed up left side. Who knows??? I may do nothing, but it sure is fun to do all the comparisons and research.
Thanks, Joao, for the photos.

Geoff, I agree; but you and I are not the future of Triumph. They are trying to appeal to the young riders. The new Bonnevilles are part of this trend, also. Only the T100 retains the 60's styling.

If the bike comes to fruition I'm not sure who Triumph will be targeting. The market is flooded with bikes that appeal to younguns and in the Triumph marque I think the Street Trip and the 675 does a great job at attracting the younger crowd. I think a Tiger Cub will only sell to short men or women riders. It won't be an off roader so can't compete with BMW GS's. What is the point of the bike?

Have a look at the amount of BMW 650's on the roads and you will see that this is where the sales are.
In Europe a HUGE chunk of bikes are based around the supermoto type of set up.... you have sport bike type performance with "sit-up-and-beg" ergonomics, and above all your suspension is normally more compliant to deal with real world "tar" roads.

Ya right there, the market is flooded with this style of bike. The speed rockets don't appeal to me but there is a bike market for them and people like them. So to put another style of bike like this out there just seems like another bike that looks like all the others. Doesn't triumph have the Daytona out there that looks like this?
