Does anyone have any info on shops that can rebuild/repair the speedo and tach on Hinckley triples? my '96 Thunderbird speedo trip meter reset is broken- handy for planning fuel stops- and the tach only works above about 4,000rpm. These things cost a bloody FORTUNE! USED ones can easily demand $500 USD for the pair. And though much cheaper and easier to find items from a Sprint, etc are out there. they don't fit- too big. There are shops that repair/rebuild the old Meriden Smiths clocks, but I haven't found anyone that will fix the (likely Japan or China made) Hinckley items.
There was a thread here about using "Radio Shack" items to fix the tach, but "Radio Shack" is long gone.

Radio Shack is not gone, but it is internet only: RadioShack.com Official Site - America's Technology Store
