Interesting! I remember seeing something similar as a kid in the 1960’s on some women’s bicycles in Finland. Don’t know if they were used here very much as bicycles were not as main form of transportation when I moved to the USA. The change was obvious, everyone drove cars that were old enough to have a license. LoL.
