LMAO!!! You are a tough bunch up there in Canada....

On a side note, I can't wait to do my Trans-Canada Highway drive after I retire.

I was all excited to start it the month of my retirement - November - but realized that's probably a bad idea.

Headed to New Orleans/Moab for the winter season, then will head north when the weather starts warming up a bit. :-) Very exciting stuff for this southern US flatlander!

BGRIN don't even think about coming up here until late June to September or you will look like the picture.

Congrats on the upcoming retirement. It's wonderful finally controlling your own life.

Whoa, late June?! I was mentally prepared for starting the walkabout (rideabout!) closer to April-ish. Obviously I haven't nailed down the itinerary, but you can bet your booties I'll have it wired by then. Or else I'll definitely look like that photo!

We do get some nice weather before late June, but it's not always great. To improve your chances of a good ride, come in the time Rocky suggested. When you get to the Maritimes we'll show you all the best roads and sights if you want. The TCH through NB is boring and has VERY little to see. Gotta get off the beaten track.

As Q said, we start riding around late April/early May depending on the weather, but the weather that time of year certainly can be iffy - cold and wet - the worst kind of conditions.
We have to pick and choose our riding days and I wouldn't want to be on a cross-country ride that time of year. Only the most hardy of riders would attempt it - and be wearing heated everything BGRIN

I'm looking forward to some retirement rides and trips. Not that I'm counting or anything like that but if all goes well I have 544 days, 16 hours and 33 minutes or 219 scheduled shifts till I hang up my hat.

By the end of this year I will have been retired 26 years. I can't believe how fast those years have flown by.
Don't wish the time away, it will pass quickly enough.
Congrats that retirement is just over the horizon.

Not sure who the snow report request was directed to -- but if it were to me, I can assure you that this Georgia cracker does *not* ride in snow, lol. I use my heated grips when it's about 60*F/15*C! I'm a weenie, yep.
