72 was a good year.

Man, you can say that again. And again, and again, and again.......

Yes, 72 was a very good year. I had just been promoted to senior supervisor which was the first step up into "the big time" of managerial positions.
But it all seems so long ago now.
I don't think about it anymore, but when I'm reminded (like now) I remember the hard work and the long hours. I wonder how I did it and stayed sane.
Of course I was younger and ambitious so it didn't seem hard at the time.
But now that I'm 73 I think 73 is an even better year.

I'm with you, Rocky. I like my age and lifestyle. In 1972, I was working six days a week and 12 hours per day. As a supervisor, I did not get overtime pay; I was lowest paid guy on the crew! :ya2: I did get a healthy end of the year bonus though.
