Yeah, thats a dealer tho, and there are a lot of dealers that have them now....that is, all but mine !
[/quote]I'm sure if you'd take the pad lock off your wallet and slip your dealer 2 or 3 Ben franklins He'd probably have you one on Tuesday. :y18: However I do find it rather ironic that you and Thatch have been jonesing more for this bike than anyone else and it seems you guys are receiving yours later than anyone. Especially Thatch's dealer being's he's closer than anyone else that has bought one so far. The dealer I stopped by last Sat. called today and told me he was getting a silver one in this week and it's gonna be their demo bike (from the factory) not a dealer bike. I Haven't seen where anyone bought a silver one yet, have you?

Theres a dealer 10 miles from mine that has 2 blue ones ! But they will no doubt charge much more. However, he said to call him once my dealer gives me a firm price and he'll see if he can beat it. i don't see that happening because my dealer sells cheaper than anyone. I recently had another dealer quote me on a Tbird and they quoted me $2.5k over what my dealer will probably be selling it for assuming the margin is like all other triumph models ! But this other dealer with the two of them says he has in many cases been beating my dealer on many bikes. So who knows. One thing i DO know tho is i checked that dealer's price on a R3 when i was considering one and it was WAY higher than my dealer quoted me.

Here is a test ride report from NTBF. I like what he says about the riding position.

I had a lucky day today. I stop at my dealer to buy a reflector for the Trophy and there sits a new Thunderbird with dealer plates on it. Oh boy! I take a sit and try it on for size. After oogling for awhile, I went in to buy the reflector.

Afterward, I ask one of the sales guys if by chance I could take it for a spin. He hesitated but then said yes as long as you don't go far (it's not an offical demo bike).

I really like this bike! The forward controls are not too radical and I can get used to them. The engine has a good throaty sound with the stock pipes. The torque is impressive. The bike is easy to control and fun to ride. I didn't really punch the engine with a full power roll on. The bike only had 14 miles on it. I put on another 12 - just enough to take a trip to my house and show my wife. She loves it too! (I didn't take her for a ride).

My only nit was that the suspension seemed awfully stiff to me. I hope that either it will soften a bit in time or maybe some adjustments are needed.

I seem to have a knack for hitting the dealer at good times. I rode the first Bonnie he had back on '01. I was the 2 person to ride the Bonnie - even before he rode it. It had only 4 miles on it. Now, I'm the 3rd person to rider the 1st T-Bird. Needless to say, he treats me well.

Ride this bike when you can. You will like it. It should sell well. Gotta play the lottery....
