Thanks to our fearless leader and his merry gang of morons at the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) here in the USA, we have been saved from those ultra dangerous old gasoline cans we used to use.

Now, by government decree, buying a gasoline can cost at least double if not more at the store for a gas can that leaks and is next to impossible to use unless you have three arms and hands.

First you have to figure out how to open the damned thing in order to fill it. The "safety" cap is like a childproof medicine bottle cap that only children can actually open!

Once you get it filled, the spout goes INSIDE the cap and extends town into the full can so that when you plan on using it, it's covered with gasoline which gets on your hands and completely negates the entire purpose of these new cans which is supposed to prevent spillage and loss of vapors into the air!?

Then actually TRY to pour some gas into something!!!

Well, here's a news report explaining the new wonder-cans:

And here's a fun video about how to defeat the government's idiocy:

Yeah....I have a bunch of the old metal cans. A couple for gas, a couple for diesel, a couple for kerosene, and a couple for gas/oil mix.

But I bought a small 1 gallon new one when I bought a string trimmer recently cause I figured it didn't take much to fill the tiny tank and a smaller can would be easier. A 1/2 gallon job cost me $18.00! I didn't even look at the price until the sales clerk shocked me at the checkout. The thing is SO stupid hard to use I just took the spout off and used a funnel.

we have these. The spout is also inside the can but has an air tube that allows the petrol to pour out easily. gascan.JPG
