This is the Thanksgiving holiday weekend in Canada and I expect to be feasting at the home of my daughter and her husband. His parents are also coming along with a couple of close family friends who are widows.
And no, this isn't a "fix-up" for me who is a widower
Living in this great country we certainly have a lot to be thankful for and probably all too often take it for granted. Freedom isn't free and a great many Canadians gave their lives in foreign wars so we can live this way in prosperity and with law and order.
I give thanks for my good health, my family, (my motorcycles) and the opportunities I have had in my life to bring me to where I am today - and that's a very good place.
My thoughts are will all our friends in Florida and hope everyone will be safe.
