Tapatalk or PC - Please Participate

I originally installed Tapatalk onto TriumphTalk from a request from one of our members. It now seems that the TapaTalk community here has grown considerably. However I feel that those using TapaTalk are missing out considerable on the TriumphTalk forum experience as TapaTalk seems very limited in respect to what forum functions it sends out. Things like the gallery, polls, notices and so on are just not seen by our TapaTalk members. Other mods that also enhance the forum are also just ignored by TapaTalk. So this got me thinking on ways to maybe improve the mobile connectivity on TriumphTalk.

So now I am trying to get a feel on just how many members use what so I have attached a poll to this thread. Now once again the TapaTalk members will not see this poll so please if you are unable to vote just give your preferences within a reply to this thread and I will add the number to the poll.

The Poll goes like this.

What method do you use to view the forum
1. Only PC
2. PC and TapaTalk
3. Only TapaTalk

If any members have any ideas how we can improve on the mobile connectivity of the forum please put your ideas forward here.

I have installed a mod One Click Hide/Show Postbits and I have found that this dramatically helps when viewing the forum on my mobile using Opera Mini, so maybe some other TapaTalk members would like to give this a go and let us know what they think

OK – so I’m ‘web challenged’

Not wishing to show my ignorance on the forum, but not knowing what ‘Tapatalk’ is I looked it up:-

Q: What is Tapatalk?

A: Tapatalk is a mobile app built specifically for forum access. Different from mobile skin or mobile version that comes with the forum system, Tapatalk allows user to have a unified interface to access multiple forums at the same time.


So now I’m more confused – bear in mind that my cell phone still has buttons on it & I would rather be lost than use a GPS, I take it than an ‘app’ is not an abbreviation for ‘apprentice’ & a ‘mobile skin’ is not a leopard skin cover for a cell phone that makes you look like a drug dealer?

Could it be that ‘Tapatalk’ is a new tap dancing language developed from that little Irish chap that does ‘Riverdance’ – if so where do I buy the shoes?

OK I’m off home to play my LP’s on my record player….

I would say I use both but that would be sort of a lie. . . I use TapaTalk, PC & MAC.
