Beautiful warm sunny day here in Mesquite NV. Her first Rocket ride will be a thrill!
She rode dirt bikes and a bit of street decades ago. She is taking the safety course and next week we go to Eurocycle in Las Vegas, she is interested in a T100.

Do you not think it could be a bit too much power for a newbie?
Everyone will have there own opinion. Let the lady co-decide.

There's plenty of other videos. I don't think a test ride would establish much if not an experienced rider?
Bigger might be better. Might not. 900 is still big. Does one ride and handle better. What's the insurance going to be like between the two. Money isn't insignificant. Town riding?. weight and strength of rider, riding style. Economy. I ride a vintage 750 Triumph, never feel the need for more CCs. Then, I'm not a speed freak, but still in my view has phenomenal acceleration. As you say, it's a newbie, that's an important consideration.

Thank you for this Solomon

That’s such an individual question. If the weight of the motorcycle isn’t a problem and she has maturity and self control, I suspect the motor size won’t be a huge problem. I know when I took the MSF course well over a decade ago, recommendation was for the smaller engines as a first motorcycle. I waited some time to finally purchase my own and went with a 900 Thruxton. I think the recommendations are still fair depending on the individual. It’s her call. How does she feel, if she’s comfortable on it, don’t see why not. Besides she has you for a mentor.

The 900 would be plenty powerful enough as I am sure you can attest to having the Street Twin for a while(same engine as in the T100).
They only go as fast as you twist the wrist, and she looks to be a mature rider that can tell when it's okay to use more throttle. She has some experience as you stated previously, but it's up to her what she's comfortable with.
And as Soloman stated, check insurance pricing as that could have a factor in the decision.
GL in whatever you guys decide.
I was thinking the T120 just because of the dual discs up front and cruise, the rest is bonus.
Ahhh yes. I forgot 6 speed in the T120 vs 5 in the T100

Yes I will keep her safe, thx.
Being female, my guess is which bike she looks best on...LOL

T120 costs more but seems to be the better value. Plus she won't out grow it.
Thank guys for all the advice.

Tiger Sport 660 is , according to specs , the one for her . Cheaper, cuter , more brakes , and suspension , better fuel economy , nice luggage options , if you want her to have a Bonnie make sure they don’t have one of them in the showroom .
