T595 Daytona. Load KERCHING Noise From Engine.

Hi.
My 1997 T595 Daytona 955i made a very load KERCHING noise then stopped couldn't restart with starter but it did start after bumping but ran really crap at low revs but once over 2000 it sounded okish.
Does anyone have any suggestions where to start.
Please only sensible suggestions I love this baby. She may have tried to kill me a few times and parts may be scarce.

could be anything ! ... but i think by bump starting it you may be making things worse it sounds cam chain related or maybe the cam chain adjuster or sliders ?
BUT ! ... as i said it could be anything .
