Good morning - I am looking through all my material and do not see what this line is out the bottom back side of the oil tank. The bike controls were changed for Rickman fairing, clipons and different gauge setup. There is the standard tach, speedometer and then a Sun oil temp gauge which I believe is to be mechanical gauge.
I am cleaning up electronics and adding a neutral light back in. When I removed the gauge, nothing is connected to the back side. There is however a mysterious hard plastic line just under 5mm in diameter that is plugged off and loops under the gas tank. This line is coming from the bottom back side of the oil tank through a fitting. In all my schematics, manuals, etc, I see no reference to this fitting or line. I am thinking that it was used for the gauge, however, since it is not flowing or pressurized, I am suspicious the gauge never changed temp and it was latter plugged off.
Any insight into this fitting in the oil tank? The chain drip, line to oil cooler, vent and line to engine all appear to be connected in correct spots.
