T100 REAR BRAKE PEDAL QUESTION...

Hello, all: Silly question, but the rear pedal on mine seems to stick out a bit more than I like, and more than on the ones I've looked at. I realize that they are cast items meaning multiple molds, making no two alike, but I'm just curious if anyone else has noticed this. My foot "pad" angles out more than I like and being a cast item, there's no way to chance trying to bend it back in. I'd ask a dealer, but I'm sure that they'll say that some of them come that way.

Anyway, thanks in advance: Jim __________________

The only thing you can do to reposition a cast piece would be if there is some room to move the whole piece in toward the bike. About the only option I see is locate another factory or aftermarket pedal and change it out. Maybe someone here has a different idea but that is my take on the problem.

I agree totally with your assessments, and as long as it's still under warranty, I'll check with a dealer. I may try to remove a bit of the rear m/c operating rod and lower it a bit more (see my earlier "adventure" in adjusting it) and then It wouldn't matter as much. It's not bad, but I'd like it a bit more away from my foot, that's all.

Thanks: Jim

Hi Jim I had a look at mine and yes it does appear out a little further than you would expect however when I placed my foot on the peg and operated the foot brake it seems to line up with my foot and operate well. If I had it bent in closer to the cases I may have to be more conscience of foot placement on the brake? Not sure but let me know if you do the same what you find.......maybe it's my outward bent feet! Ps: I lowered my brake pedal down by reducing the length of brake rod adjuster and I prefer it as I had to lift my foot up of the foot peg to apply the brake in the standard position. F
