I sometimes paint a picture of the area where I live as calm, civil, sensible and polite.
Not so. Yesterday we had two good examples of the opposite.
A 21 year-old in a hotrod Honda Civic was clocked at 212 kph in a 100 kph zone (132 mph in a 60 mph zone).
That falls under the "stunting" traffic law here. His vehicle was seized and he faces an automatic $2,400.00 fine plus whatever other speeding charges that may apply - which includes an automatic loss of drivers licence for a period of time.
The other bright light held up a city bank with a fake gun and then attempted to escape on a bicycle.
Needless to say that he was soon behind bars.
It just goes to show you that we have our share of idiots - not that I didn't know that already

Lol The robber should have teamed up with the guy in the hotrod at least he would have got away fast . You wonder what some people are thinking at times

Yup,street racer boys are a problem the world over eh
Truth is,I dont have an honest answer to the problem either.
We were all a bit heavy footed and law be dammed at that age, but population was far less dense and our cars were no where as quick by a long shot.

You are right, Harry. Most of us hot rodded in our younger years. But my car would barely break the ton down hill with a tail wind.
