Stock Exhaust Modification

Has anyone drilled the back plate on the stock exhaust pipes to slightly increase the volume. I've had other bikes that I've spent hundreds of dollars for Vance & Hines pipes and I don't want to go that route again, plus getting a re-map of the ECU. I just want a slightly louder sound and don't want to lean out the fuel mix. I have a 2013 Speedmaster completely stock.

Did it to a 2000 Suzuki Marauder ...... somewhat different animal but the result was nice I do not recall any negatives rode the bike for 8 years -- amazingly reliable 1 battery (I use a tender) --tires and brake pads was all it ever needed

generally small changes are adapted by modern ecu controlled bikes
