Went for a blast over the hill yesterday with scout, and as we stopped at the top for the compulsory perv at the view, we saw a line up of six bikes, the front two a couple of well used '51 T100s.
Stopped and had a chat with the owners, two real gentlemen of the old school.
I have found when you meet people like these, the best you can do is shut up and & listen.
Twas the highlight of the ride.

Yup, they were part of a pre-unit club, returning from a meet .
Apparently there were over 100 members at the meet.
Would have loved to have known about that in advance, maybe I just live in a cacoon.

I hate finding out about stuff like this after the fact. Riding your old bike to an event like this must be a huge thrill and I bet they had a few stories to tell you about there travels.

Thank you for the great photos of a pair of fine vintage bikes. I agree with Geoff; I love seeing classic bikes being used as they were built to be used. Outstanding.

Did the owners mentions how their butts felt after riding distance without any rear suspension?
