Are the lengths you give for body size or the leg-span?

I work on leg span. some people work on 'body' size though.

I measure, say front left to rear right.

That's the correct way to measure a Tarantula. A diagonal measurement from the extreme left or right rear leg tip to the extreme front leg tip.

When I first saw the title of this thread I thought it might be about old model T cars or hot rods - not spiders h:
Not a fan of bugs and spiders, but whatever turns your crank is fine with me.

They're great pets Rocky!


Just think....you don't have to walk them, you only have to feed them occasionally, they don't bark, they don't ruin your carpet, or do anything obnoxious that other pets do.

All they really want is to be left alone!

Can't argue with that - and they don't shed hair either. They do have their advantages, but I'll stick with my warm lap cat.

They can be very interesting and addictive too.

They're actually very good housekeepers.....they only poop in one spot and they leave the remains of their dead prey in the same place every time you feed them. When you move them into a new enclosure, they will re-arrange the "furniture" to their liking and then change that every once in a while for some reason. I have two which are prolific webbers.... always building new webs in various spots and designs.
