Do any of you guys use the WhatsApp apps on your smart phones. My side it is a big thing as you able to do texting and voice calls free. You also able to set it up in conjunction with your phone on a browser on the computer.

We really find it handy as you also able to create community groups great for neighborhood watch and things like that.

Yes, Mable and I use it routinely. She travels out of country and we can call via phone and text for free. She spent 3 months in Japan and we talked every day via WhatsApp. It is a great app.

sorry boys ! ..... i dont use anything like that ..... i dont even use my phone that much as i live on the job and Lisa does split shifts so is home most of the day .
when i ran my saw mill buisness i was on the phone constantly now im lucky if i send 3 texts and make 2 calls a week , ive unplugged my life and feel better for it .... i enjoy my seroundings more now and enjoy the little things you wouldn't of noticed before :)

Dave, the voice call quality is about the same as Skype. I don't pay for Skype so I only receive calls on Skype. WhatsApp is free. The only downside is that it is dependent on WiFi.

I do not have unlimited data on my smart phone plan. So if I do not have WiFi, I do not use any apps the use data.

Yes it is. I have a Galaxy S8 Active which is waterproof. So I don't see the need to buy that expensive Garmin Zumo. I do have Bluetooth in my helmet in order to comminicate with Mabel when we are riding together. This lets me hear the turn directions from the GPS function. I DO Not answer the phone while riding.

My wife uses Whatsapp to communicate with a very big family in France from California and it works great, for video calls, regular calls, texting. Quality has gotten better over the years , better than skype. We both use galaxy S10s

I must admit I really like WhatsApp as it keeps me in contact with my older brother and other friends. The great thing is if you have WiFi then it is basically free as you just don't even notice the data it uses.

i do use face time quite a lot to see my son and his wife and see my little grandson james .
