Well it has not been that long since we have seen the launch of both of these but tailored to the South African market.
With Showmax we are able to see exactly what they offer and even watch the trailers of any of the shows. You can then sign-up and get a 14 day free until they bill you and you can cancell at any time. So as I wanted to watch Game of Thrones I signed up for the free 14 days but started to enjoy it so I just let the paid service come into play. We have now watched a few nice mini series and we are happy so far with the service.
Now with Netflix we have no way of seeing anything surrounding the content offered our side and you need to sign-up before you able to even see this. So this make me start to wonder why do they want my payment details even before the allow me to see what I might be paying for. They have the 30 days free before billing takes place and apparently you can also cancel before the billing takes effect. However I am still worried about the fact they hide the content so what else are they not telling me?
