I think he was a runner up for the 2010 Darwin Awards, this has been floating around the shooting circles around here for a couple of years, but is good for a reminder... if you're dumb enough to look down a barrel following a misfire.

I always wonder how videos like this get on YouTube. If it was me I would not tell anyone how stupid I was

What a complete idiot! He should never go anywhere near a firearm. It was not his time to die.

On one of the local firearm forums there is a videographer that studied the film clip and says it is a fake. He enhanced the video and found the slight movement we can see just before the shot was not an actual slight movement but a separate video clip imposed and that the cap flying off was actually done with a piece of fishing string. One item he pointed out was watch his hand at the time of the firing of the round, his hand does not move or open yet the shotgun barrel moves. I'll see if I can locate his analysis of the video.
