Hiya guys

Picked up a new helmet today as my current one - a Shoei XR1000 was old and getting rather loose, the foam has lost all it's cushioning and it's been dropped and bounced a bit.

I bought it on special clearance sale, plus the fact that I take a small I had quite a choice.

I picked up the Shoei X Spirit, Kagayama TC 5 paintjob for a steal at R 4500.00 ZA.

In the box I found a anti-fog pinlock system.
Spare pins.
Breathguard. (For those garlic dinners)
Chin wind strip.
Cleaning kit.
Couple of decals.
Bag.

It fits me just like the XR did, although a little tight at the moment, which will result in a good fit in a couple of brekkie runs.
I like 'em tight . Ooooeeer :y10:

There are plenty vents, chin / brow / head / rear head / rear mid head / neck.

Quite light, weighing in at 1350 grams.

I bought a dark smoke visors for those early sunrise rides I do, must just get the anti-fog system installed on that.
Nice thing is, that alot of my old XR stuff fits right in. Visors and whisper strip.

anyways, chuffed.

I don't think I'm ever buying a different helmet!

This has got to be the most comfortable lid I've ever ridden with. I was expecting a bit of discomfort while breaking it in, but nope - the only squeeze is putting it on and taking it off.

The venting system is awesome, it's as if there's no top on the helmet, the wind rushes over your pip. However it was rather on the cool side this morning, so all the vents got close after a two minute test lol. That said, I was the only rider in our group to pitch for our brekkie run this morning. Bwahahaha fair weather riders.

All good.

Thanks CarlS. The pics have got nothing to do with the thread, but unless I posted them avion would never believe that I was out riding yesterday.

Even if I was on a Yamaha :y13:.
