Folks,

I have some OEM Bonnie parts that I had replaced/modded/upgraded when poor Barney got clobbered by that dingbat at the stop sign.

The insurance company doesn't care if I pull modded parts off as long as they're replaced with something comparable or the OEM part.

If I want to sell some of them, do people tend to want the OEM stuff, or the upgraded stuff?

For instance, on my 2013 Bonnie, the OEM oil cap is an awful, horrid thing that almost requires a British 50p coin to turn. (A US quarter bends!!!) So I replaced it with one from newbonneville. Would most owners prefer the OEM cap, even though it's lousy, or the new one, or it's all just individual preference?

TIA!

This is going to be a toss-up really depending on why the person needs the part. If they selling they might need to replace a modification part with an OEM part, then the question is what did they do with their own OEM part. I would tend to also look at the condition of the part, what one looks less used. Also remember your after market part might be the best thing since sliced bread to you but someone else might not like it.

So I would look at the following factors.
  1. Condition
  2. How easy is it for you to take it off Barney and replace the OEM part.

many forums allow posting for sale + wanted items for free just follow the rules. paypal makes it easy + safe for both parties. i have bought + sold on several forums, a good deal on both ends
