Scroll Thingy

Where is that current topic thingy that used to be on the home page? The problem with this new set up is you cannot see what the current topics are. Please bring it back. :y72:

The recent topic thingy on the bottom left is not the same.

Besides it not having a scroll thingy what else is different about it. It has the added option of showing all recent Topics. You can also use the Show unread posts in the user block at the top of the left column. Also in that block are the other two options.

This software does not support that scroll thingy unfortunately :silent: :ya2:

Beside not having that scroll option how can we change it so it will work for you guys. I can allow more topics to be shown and also have it on the front page as it was before. Just tell me and lets see how we can improve it :y18:

As i have no idea wot you can and cannot achieve Dave, I am reluctant to make sugestions.
My main problem with the new setup is I seem to miss posts on a regular basis using the show unread system.
I often go into the forum now and check thru there and am suprised how many pop up that are days old that I have totally missed.
I know on the ba forums they have an active topics feature which I find really good.

Ok we have a few other options in this line so let me set them all up and see what one works for you the best. I don't use this function so I am at a bit of a loss as to what you should see with it :y114: :y18:

Just picking up on Devo,s post , I click on unread posts and though it tells me there are none, when I go through the forum there can be several . Thought it was just me .

Recent Topics
New RRS

In the first three I have only selected to show 10 items but we can increase it to what ever you feel. We can also place it where you would like to see it :y18:

The recent topics column you have set up in the left column should work real well cos it stays on every page, not just the homepage, which will save a lot of unneccasary navigating to and fro.

Remember i can setup any of the option to show anywhere we want so if any other one catches your fancy we can use it :y18:

Play with them all and see what one works the best and then we can tweak it. I have also now moved the All Unread to the top of the left column :y18:
