Hiya guys

Me and a mate went on a trip to Sabie for a long weekend. The weather was a little miserable with it being overcast and some drizzle the whole weekend long, however we got a lot of riding in.

Here's some pics from the trip

Just finished the 22, having a smoke break..

Taking another break on one of the many superb roads in the area..

Stopping in Graskop (grass head??) with the ladies for some lunch..

Lots of waterfalls in the area..

If you look about a third of the way up, you can see my buddy waving. The nutter took a hike up there.

Lots of beasties in the air, this was from a 25 minute ride..

Also did the 22 in the dark, with a tinted visor - not fun and a little scary to say the least.

Angie now needs tyres soon, plus sprockets and a chain. Gonna be an expensive month.

The front tyre, I'm not soooo happy with the Road2CT on the front, I got it hot enough but it kept pushing and folded once so I'm going with the Power2CT this weekend.

Somehow got a cut right on the edge too :< ...

The rear Power2CT held up nicely, although a little chewed up..

I actually got 5k km's on this rear - a first for me, normally only get 3.5k, however I've been behaving myself on pull offs with this tyre. Like an angel I am. :>

Very enjoyable weekend, nice 'n cool - not too hot.

Nice pics, especially the waterfalls. Particularly that huge one where your buddy looks like an ant up there. Actually the one that got to me the most was the first one. The "smoke break". I quit almost 3 years ago now, and i almost never even want one or think of them except for this....smoke break on long rides. God i miss that !!! I will be on a long ride and think how much i would give to pull over and have a smoke at times. But you get to a certain age and you just realize one day you only have two choices, quit or quit. One of those being quitting cigarettes, the other being the reason you need to. When i hit about 53-54 i knew it was time. But i wish i could go back just for long rides. That pic with the smoke in your mouth makes me jealous !

Great pics and beautiful scenery. Glad you had a good ride.

Dave, I assume that is 15,000 miles on a front tire? That is about what I get on a front. I go through two rear tires for every front tire.
