RIP Harry Morgan

Harry Morgan, better known by the younger crowd as Colonel Sherman T. Potter of M*A*S*H has passed away.

He was one of my favorite actors and played in some of my favorite movies such as Support Your Local Sheriff, Support Your Local Gunfighter, The Apple Dumpling Gang just to name a few. With out Harry playing opposite of Jack Webb in Dragnet the series wouldn't have been a hit for so many years.

RIP Harry Morgan.

God i loved that show ! And he was great in it. So much more to his character than you ever get in any show nowadays with all the PC rules that don't allow people to portray a real person like he portrayed Sherman Potter. And dragnet....geez, as a kit i loved that show. But mash was like a part of my life. RIP Mr Morgan. Thanks for being a big part of one of my fav shows of all time.

Harry Morgan was brillliant in MASH and a great supporting actor in many movies and TV shows.
He was one of my favourites too and I was saddened to hear of his passing, but at age 96 he had a great long life.

Fancy an actor living that long, he must have missed out on the sex drugs and rock n roll.

I really liked Harry Morgan. He was a character actor and played many parts well. I was also a MASH addict. Thank you, Mr Sherman for all of your entertainment for us. Rest in peace.

I really picture you (Carl) like his Sherman Potter character. Obviously only knowing you on the forum and not in person i can't be sure. But you do remind me of that character Carl. Thats a compliment in case it wasn't apparent.
