Like the title says, I have a 68 Bonny that was put into a rigid frame a long time ago. I picked it up back in the 80s after towing a guy in from the highway. He left it with me and its been in the corner since.
I want to turn it into a bobber and have always been intrigued with reversing the head, putting the carbs up front and running the exhaust straight out the back. I worked on Brit bikes for a local shop and always wrenched my own bikes.
It doesn't look like it's difficult and seems pretty straight forward. Everything from the cases up, gets turned around and the cams retimed. Not sure if I'll have to fiddle with the points position to get it to spark in the right spot, or maybe run it with a magneto and utilize the lost spark.
Long story, I know, but if anyone has done this successfully or has instructions or knows of a web site that explains it, I'm interested and appreciative of any help.
Cheers.
