Thanks for that, I really liked watching it.
So much effort and dedication goes into restoring a bomber that size. I tip my helmet to all those dedicated people.
It will be a wonderful day when it flies again.

Cool! Love to see another old warbird getting closer to airworthyness.
My Dad worked on these in the 1960's as they were part of Canada's maritime patrol aircraft fleet.

@Rocky I think you might enjoy this. As you may know, this is about 12 miles from me

Thanks Mad , brings back thoughts of our 2011trip to England in memory of my uncle and his crew . A Lancaster was scheduled for a fly past during the dedication of the stone at The Creswell Craigs but because of high winds it was called of . Everyone was disappointed , apparently they are very important loud .

When I was a kid, we lived not far from the Greenwood RCAF air station. I was born before WWII so got to see lots of planes in the air during the war and the army doing route marches on the country roads.
Once in a while our father would stop on the road opposite Greenwood. From the road you could see and look straight down the main runway in the distance as planes took off and landed. If we were lucky it would be a Lancaster training day and those huge bombers would take of right over our heads one after the other - maybe 200 feet in the air with blue flames belching from the four Merlins. What a thrill and what a noise! There is no other sound like four Merlins.

All being well, I'll be going to Glemseck again this year, along the way I'm going to detour slightly to see where Rommel committed suicide, then onto his grave. Off to the NW200 in just under 4 weeks, then down south to S Ireland for 5 days. Just keeping my fingers crossed that it'll all go ahead.
