Now that lock down measures have been eased there were a lot of people out and about today - especially bikes as the weather was perfect for riding.

You know when you're riding in redneck territory when the sidewalk is covered in horse sh1t!

Why would they be on the sidewalk with all that empty road?

Makes you wonder. It was near the hitching rail outside the liquor store so that might be a clue. (Technically it was a hand rail but I suspect it had been used as a hitching rail.)

Are you still enjoying the scrambler rocky? Any more mods planned?.

Nothing planned as far as mods although I do have a tail bag on order. I sold the Givi top box that I had previously on my Super Tenere as it was too big for the Scrambler - it would have looked out of place.

I'll stick with the stock Tourances for this year but I'm looking forward to putting some more gravel road worthy tires on it next year. I have a new rear Mitas e07 Dakar in the garage but I'll need a front tire. tbd.

I'm concentrating on learning all the options in the menu's. In that respect it's the most complex machine I've ever owned. Some of the writing is on the small side for my aging eyes, so if I want to read all the info. I need to wear my muti-focal glasses. There should be a 'magnify' feature! lol.

So far, I'm really enjoying it. It is a great bike.

Cheers!

When you can ride down a back road and see a house that has the stars and bars for curtains then I'll call it redneck. Love the picture though.

Wikipedia agrees with you.

Redneck is a derogatory term chiefly but not exclusively applied to white Americans perceived to be crass and unsophisticated, closely associated with rural whites of the Southern United States. Its usage is similar in meaning to cracker, hillbilly, and white trash.

On the other hand, it depends where you look for your definition of 'redneck', and in my defense, I did say 'Redneck Alberta'.

I agree with Wikipedia, a lot of the places I've seen and the people that live there fit that definition to a T. Unfortionately rural central Florida is infested with it along with the ignorance.
