Hi Guys, I've fitted Tec gas shocks and progressive forks springs to the T100 today, I will
Try to get out for a ride tomorrow after work, any advice on how to set the rear shocks up?
Or is it a case of ride and adjust till they feel right? Cheers Jeff.

Hi jef ! Your spot on .....it's a case of ride adjust ....ride and adjust till you get it were you think it's right for you !
Don't think of it as a chore but more of an excuse to get out and ride and have fun ! Good luck with it .

Cheers Shane, thanks for the reply, I will take your advice and do just that, I don't need to much encouragement lol. It's such a pleasure riding this Bonneville I just needed to improve the suspension and replace the standard seat. (Plank)

Ye I've never owned one but from what I hear the seat is terrible and the rear shocks really struggle solo let alone with a pillion , so I think your improvements should make the world of difference to the quality of the ride .....enjoy !

Ok so I've just worked 7 days straight only to find that my Sunday bike blast weather is poor again, and so I thought I would just update you on the rear shocks and front fork spring upgrade.
I purchased the parts from Tec gas parts, arrived quickly and they are easy to deal with.
Fitted both front and back springs in about 2 hours, it's not that difficult really. (Watch Delboys garage on You Tube) the guy is so informative. The front progressive springs are such a transformation, so much smoother. The rear shocks are great deal better but you need to adjust to find the your correct setting.
I also replaced the standard Bonnie seat with a Thruxton Gel seat, this was not for cosmetic reasons but comfort, it's slightly slimmer at the rear and you can see more of the hand rail but I can live with that, it's soooo much better.
Will try to upload a couple of pics, ride safe Jeff.

Yes, I replaced the front springs and rear shocks on my Bonneville and the results were the same as you found Jeff - so much better.
It was well worth the time and expense to do it, and as you found, the changes weren't all that hard to do. Very straight forward.
I stuck with the factory seat for short rides, but I have a King and Queen seat for any long distance riding.

The TEC guys prices are very reasonable....I was wondering about their shocks but all reports here are positive....getting their rear sets..as I am fitting lower bars..a comfort thing...

I put on a pair of TEC piggyback rear shocks and haven't looked back at the non-shock absorbing stock shocks (that's a mouthful!) I'm not real sure of the settings and am still riding on the medium settings they came with. Looks like a matter of a few clicks one direction or the other, but it's comfortable as is.

I've read mostly very good reviews of the Tec Shocks. I've decided suspension is my next project and the Tec suspension is tempting. My concern is the spring rate as they don't fit springs to the rider's weight. Any thoughts?

Turp, I've just been a bit shy mucking around w. the settings, but I understand they've got a good amount of play in them for almost any weight.
