Our Florida rainy season begins in June and this year it began right on schedule. It rains nearly every afternoon and early evening. The rains are the form of showers and thunderstorms. Some areas may get rain one day and no rain the following day. Usually the showers and thunderstorms are fairly brief lasting from 10 minutes to half an an hour. If it is a small shower, I will ride through it and not put on rain gear. If it is a thunderstorm, I will find shelter and wait it out.

Starting Friday, we have had rain every afternoon and evening. The rains begin about 3:00 PM and last until around 8:30 P{m. There are breaks in the showers. We have been getting 1 inch to 2.5 inches of ran each day (2,5 centimeters to 6.4 centimeters). All of this rain with the temps around 90F (32 C) makes for rapid growth of all vegetation, especially lawn grass! You can darn near see the grass grow.

We don't have a rainy season up here, but it does rain a lot - often all day or for a couple of days. Not a monsoon, just steady, annoying rain.
This spring has been especially bad. All those storms that are flooding the U.S. generally find their way here, but are much less severe by then.
But you never know what summer weather will be like. Sometimes we have a dry summer and wish for rain and others are the opposite.
The past four days have been sunny and bright for a change and I finally got all my bikes out of winter hibernation :Champ:

We used to get our rain during winter and I can remember having that light coastal drizzle that could last weeks on end. These days when we see rain we all run outside to take a closer look just to be sure.
