So . . . I'm guessing that many of you read my reference to the guy who died racing at Barber two weeks ago.
At the time I didn't mention his name. His name was Dwaine Williams and he was 72 years young.
Normally, yeah, most of us would sort-of feel bad about a racer dying during a race but we all know the guy knew the risks and he died doing what he loved to do. End of story. Pass the gravy.
Well unfortunately this particular story goes on.
Dwaine left behind a beautiful autistic daughter named Chrissy. Dwaine was his daughter's only caregiver. The two of them were inseparable and though 'the kid' is now an adult, her loss is no less devastating. She will need devoted care for the rest of her life. Dwaine had made some arrangements towards that end. But his resources were not without limits.
So here's a couple of details and a painless way to help her transition into her new circumstances.
