I sure remember American Bandstand when it was broadcast from Philadelphia and begging my parents to take me to a show
Mike Douglas show was also broadcast from Philadelphia and was another one I wanted to see....he always promoted local groups on his show.

I heard the news last evening. We got American Bandstand up here so we knew who DC was back in the day, and of course, in "modern" times too with his TV shows, New Years, etc.
He's been in very poor health for some time.

When you look back at some of the bands he hosted on American Bandstand - wow! A true TV, music, game show legend.
I also heard this last night. Rest in peace, Dick.
