When you say you've been asked to post photos, do you mean board members asked you to post photos of your own bike?

Assuming that is the case, then I would suggest that you upload them to the Triumphtalk Gallery either in the category they would best fit in OR in your own personal gallery (each member has his/her own little photo gallery within the main gallery).

Using the gallery, you can simply upload them from your own computer to here as opposed to having them hosted on a site like Webshots and posting a link to them here.

As long as you know how to browse to a file on your own computer, you shouldn't have any trouble uploading them to the gallery (provided they aren't HUGE pictures..which will give you and error message if they are).

Yeah...if you want to just post a picture here in a message, you'll need to link to one hosted someplace else.

Obviously, you can use any photo...even one on another website if you know how to link to it.

To confuse you even more...you can even upload your own pics to the Photo Gallery and then link to it within a post and have it show up inside your message.

If you get stuck, PM (private message) me and I'll help you.

In one of these messages (reply or a new topic) when you click the insert image icon, you can only put in a link to the image that is already online somewhere.

Only in the gallery can you upload a picture from your own computer (provided it's not too large).

To find the Gallery, you just look near the top of the forums and click "Gallery". Once there, you can click the link on the upper-right that says "my gallery" to get to your own personal gallery.

Kevin you need to create your private gallery in member’s galleries first. You can do this by looking at the top right corner once in the gallery and you will see this [MyGallery] [MyImages] [Search]. Click on MyGallery and it will give you the options to create your gallery in members galleries. Once you have created your gallery you will be able to upload into it. Or you can upload into any of the general galleries if you like. :y18:
