So Farside is away in China and I have the keys to his Landrover. I love driving the Landy because it's big and bulky and intimidating to the infamous SA taxis and I just feel like a big bully driving it. :y2:
Trying to be considerate in taking it for a drive so the battery won't go flat, :y15: I drove the green monster to the supermarket last night. All was well and I was not far from home, I could actually see the house when...............kalunk, kalunk, kalunk! FLAT TYRE! :y14:
Have you ever changed the tyre on a Landy?? They couldn't have made it more difficult if they tried. I had to get this sorted before Farside came home so the good ol' Automobile Association got the call! Do you have any idea how embarassing it is to call the AA to come and change a tyre??!! :y11:
Anyway, alls well that ends well - but I must have gone over something really sharp - there's a 2.5cm slash in the tyre!

Hey, what the heck, that's what I have CAA for - just in case - and it covers both a car and a motorcycle.
The AA coming to the rescue of a lady with a huge vehicle shouldn't be the least bit embarassing.
Just be thankful you have the AA.

Good thing I had the Landy added to the policy last year - would've been worse if Farside got home and found the flat.:y4:
