Zimbabwe have problems! Zimbabwe has a population of max 11 million. Zimbabwe don't have food or money. Zimbabwe have 3 medals.

South Africa have problems. South Africa have a population of 48 million. We have food and money. WHY THE HELL DON'T WE HAVE MEDALS?

Zim got a swimming medal in the ladies (I think the 400m). Not really watching too much of the Games.
Phelps has bagged 11 gold medals - the kid is amazing.

China has shut down all websites pertaining to their farce of the opening ceremony. Apparently the little 7 year old girl was not the actual singer - she was lip-syncing which I don't think is an issue at all and the footsteps across Beijing to the Birdsnest stadium apparently were computer graphics and not fireworks and claimed by the Chinese.

Next thing we're going to hear about is all the doping and I wonder how many medals are going to be retracted.

Was watching the weightlifting yesterday. It's unbelievable how much weight a human being can lift. The Eastern Block countries traditionally have the monopoly on this sport but hecks teeth that little Chinaman and the Chinachick were phenominal. Kudos to them. I wish the men would wear underpants under their "leotards" though, the one dude had a problem with his dangly bits, shame and I feel sorry for most of their wives. :silent:
