Just wondering if anyone has used the Olympia brand rain gear. My dealer just took on the Olympia line and the stuff looks good, but I'd like, if possible, to hear from some of the folks who use it.

Thanks: Jim

I like Frogg Toggs myself, but I haven't found a dealer close to me yet so that I can check out the newer ones. I gave my old set to my son-in-law when we were in Florida. I'll just keep looking and waiting for any more replies.

Thanks for getting back to me: Jim

Ended up buying the Olympia. I like the idea of being able to get the pants and jacket as separate items, for a better fit; plus, the dealer gift certificate that I was given at my retirement party also helped in the decision. I do wish that there were some dealers that handled the newer Frogg Toggs in my area, if for no other reason, to be able to check them out. I'm sure that the Olympia's will more than do the job and I'll report back when (and if) I finally have to put them to the test.

The "village idiot" hasn't melted in the rain...................YET: Jim

Hello, Carl: Well, I sort of hope that I won't have to answer that request...............if you catch my drift!!! But, I bought it, and, sooner or later, I suspect that I'll be telling you.
Hope that you're healing quickly: Jim

Thanks, Jim. Things are looking good so far.

If you were down here in the summer, You would definitely get to try them out in a monsoon. If you ride in the summer down here, you are gonna get caught in a downpour sooner or later.

Oh, I'm aware of that, and remember, New England's weather pulls its share of "parlor tricks" as well; that's why you need easily packable ones up here. Jim

Actually, Carl, I've "been there and done that" up here, as well. As the old saying goes: "If you don't like New England weather..............................wait 5 minutes!!"
Jim
