Hi, My first bike was a late 50s Triumph Thunderbird with a TR6 front end. I bought it as a basket case, and with the help of several dedicated Triumph mechanics, I ended up with a beautiful bike. That was in 1961. I have been riding ever since (even though my Mother said I would "out grow" my enthusiasm for anything on two wheels!). The first bike I ever rode was a Triumph 21. That was a fun summer day! My next bike was a 1963 Triumph T100 that I bought new. 50 some years later I just bought a 1978 Bonneville to add to my motorcycle collection which also includes a 2000 Triumph 900 Trophy and now numbers 13 motorcycles. I am pleased that at almost 79 years of age, I can still kick start a Triumph! I look forward to conversing with fellow Triumph riders, particularly concerning the classic twins. Thanks for allowing me to join.

Great intro! Welcome aboard from the Sunshine State. You have three yeaaes on me and I can still kick start my '68. I gather that you winter in Florida. Where do you reside in Florida? I am in Altamonte Springs. I'd love to meet you.

Welcome to TT from Southeast Texas and the last time I rode it I was still able to use the electric starter on my Tiger. BGRIN Well I guess since I'm several years behind you I should go ahead and say I can still kick my KTM to life.

Yes, I am a snowbird. I am in The Villages, and also have a place in Hanes City.

Are you still down here or have you gone back to the frozen north? I ask because I ride with a group called the Motorcycle Sport Touring Association. It is an informal, eclectic group. We have a luncheon every month and one does not have to be a member of MSTA to attend. Saturday, we have a lunch in Inverness. I invite you to attend. The Cove Pub and Grub, 1242 S Cove Camp Place, Inverness at 12 noon.

Yes I am still in Florida until May (six months here then six months in Ohio). Thanks for the invite and not that far for me. Weather permitting and if my wife doesn’t have plans for me, I will look forward to meeting you.

Welcome to TT from Eastern Canada.
Nice intro and glad you found us.
Great bunch here, so join in the madness..........I mean fun.
I'm one of the young'uns here, but can still push the electric start on my Tiger like Hemi. ;)

Sorry Carl couldn't make it today. Hopefully we will have other opportunities.
Sorry you couldn't make we had a good time. I did look for you. We have another ride Thursday. It is our Bike Week ride. We are going to the St John’s River Grille, 2997 W SR 44, Deland. that is fairly close to you. Hope to see you there at 12 noon. TUP

Thursday, my wife, daughter, son-in-law, their two girls and myself are heading to the Daytona Racetrack. Downtown is so congested (been there-done that) that we have been just going as far as the track. Lots to do there and lots of demo bikes to ride. The girls are going by car, and my son-in-law and I will be going on my Harley Heritage Softail and my Triumph Trophy. We have been doing this for several years. The kids are visiting for the month from Chicago. Good times. Good memories.

If memory serves, I believe we take Rt. 44 most of the way to Daytona.

Absolutely good memories. I normally go to the track during Bike Week. Like you, I skip Main Street. This year I am not going to the track as a coronavirus precaution. I an in the high risk age group (over 70).

Yes you do take SR44 or SR 42 and 44 most of the way. Time it so you have lunch with us. All are welcome! The restaurant is right on the the St Jouns River.
