So I was going to do my first oil change. Any recommendations on what type of oil and filter? Or would it be better to bring to dealer for first oil change? Also manual recommends chain lube. What brand and how often?

You have obviously done some research Cable Guy . CTC chain saw bar oil works good on my chains . Very little gets on the TTR rear wheel despite liberal application with an old tooth brush . Not sure who borrowed the chain saw but never expect to see it again so can’t waste the oil . Just trying to save the planet , solar panels coming next month .

Hi-flo filter and rotella t6 is my go to .
Bought a new Stihl chainsaw to clean up after Fiona then found the old one while rearranging the garage a bit . It’s a mid seventies Poulan and hasn’t run for at least twenty years . Will take it to Larry’s Cycle and if he can get it going he’ll find a home for it . So the solar panels are working and I have another use for the bar oil but the yard is a mess .

K&N oil filter, any quality brand oil of proper viscosity, Motul chain cleaner, Honda Pro chain lube. Clean and lubricate every 200 miles.

I used K+N filters for years . The chrome / stainless steel ones are a huge bargain especially if you have the oil filter stuck on the front of your engine as many do . Are they still only a dollar more than than the non chrome unit . They were heavy too ! Most filters are made of pretty thin metal .

Good that you're OK - except for the mess.
Thanks Rocky , any damage over your way ?
Sounds like Adrian is pretty happy with the move to Triumph , think that other brand was dragging him down a bit . And Lisa is real good operator too , am sure they do well , you’re lucky to have them .
