Just to update this storm thread, it was a wild 24 hours.
Some areas were flooded with rain and high winds caused power outages. Many areas of the province are still without power today.
Here in the city it rained steadily and very hard at times. Gusting winds came up after much of the rain had passed and I lost power for nearly seven hours.
It was a boring evening sitting in the dark with candles lit with only the radio for company BGRIN
But I dozed of for most of the time in the big easy chair so it wasn't all that bad.
Around midnight I was wakened by the sound of voices which was a bit alarming, but it was only the TV which came on when the power returned.
Overall, I think it was worse than predicted, but it's a new day and the storm has passed.

Rocky glad you made it through without to much issue.

I have a lovely addition to this tale-----as you recall I threw my back out Friday morning ---and even with 2 Chiro visits it was JUST back to normal yesterday-----normal enough for me to MOW THE YARD........
After work ---it looks like rain is coming but I figure if I hurry I can knock out at least half an acre..........so I am running through the house to change----off with work shoes ---run to other room to get yard shoes----WHAMMO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! while avoiding a dog ----I NAILED my pinky toe on a chair edge .........broke ..........huge swelling black as pitch.......probably lose the nail......

I am having one rough Month---- Corporate screwed up and shorted my pay-----then a hurricane----then back out----then broken toe----
I need to HIDE till Nov.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow Adrian, of all the dumb luck. If it wasn't for bad luck you would have no luck at all!!

Some parts of the province had serious flooding and power loss for a couple of days.
Very little damage here in the city. Some branches and a tree or two.

I want to make it abundantly clear that I didn't laugh a lot when I read about your bad luck Key's. :whistle2::whistle2:.
Well look on the bright side, what more damage can you do to yourself with a broken toe.
Seriously I hope that your luck gets better from now on.

Yes, if you'd taken all the precautions you'd look something like this guy using his strimmer
