I was feeling very good today after my session with physio so I thought about the mess my basement is in and that it is time to store my bikes for the winter in their proper places. I won't be riding them again this year anywway. At the present time they are just sitting there where I left them in June and are in the way.
My weight training bench and weights were in the rec room where I also left them in June and they needed to be moved. I tidied up that area and stored everything away not having any problem moving the 25 lb weights.
My old T100 is sitting on its center stand in the middle of a traffic area so I decided to move it ahead and into a corner prior to backing it into the rec room. Normally I would put both hands on the handlebars and push forward, but the range of motion in my shoulder won't allow that yet. I grabbed a handlebar and the seat grab rail and gave a heave forward.
Well, I thought my arm was going to come off! Yowee the pain!!!! :y20: Stupid hurts and that was stupid :y21:.
I don't think I did any damage as it doesn't hurt now or immediately after I pulled on it, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed and we'll see how it is tomorrow.
I'm trying to be patient and not overdo things, but I'm not a very patient, patient

The bike will have to wait Rocky, its not a life or death project so look after yourself and build up your strength for the Normandy Beaches next year :y115:

Geoff.

Hey there fella, Just because you go by the name Rocky, does not mean you are ready to go 10 rounds with your bike. I have to confess to very similar mistakes in my life, so.....do as I say, not as I do....lol.....take your time. It is much more important that you heal fully and completely than to reinjure yourself again.

I would be willing to bet, knowing the folks in your area, that one of your riding buddies would be more than happy to assist you with putting the bike into Winter storage (God, how I hate, but well remember, the thought of that).

Take care, and more importantly, take care of yourself.

Be thankful winter's a comin'. At least, when you look out your window at the snow you can say, "Oh well, can't ride in this stuff anyway." Then, go pour yourself a nice hot cocoa, pop a vike, and dream of a great ride.

Get well, Rocky. Lotsa good roads left to ride.

Thanks for all the encouragement you guys. It means a lot.
I feel OK after my "incident" yesterday and it taught me a lesson.
I have a big strong son-in-law who can help me when I need it so I'll call on him. And yes, I have lots of buddies who would be happy to come over to shoot the breeze and help out too.
I've always been independent and a "doer" so it's hard for me to give in and take it easy as I recover and feel better. So many things need "doing" and I want to do them, but I will give in and take it slow. I don't want any setbacks at this stage of the game.
Every week I'm doing a bit more than the week before. Who would have thought that being able to move your arm enough brush your teeth or eat with your right hand would be considered an accomplishment.
Well, it is for me.
And yes fuzzy, winter comes early for me this year, but all I can do is go with the flow - as long as it isn't a hurricane flow :y23:
Yesterday, Ike passed well to the north with rain and light winds and didn't bother us at all.
