Hi everyone and firstly thanks for having me here.
As title says been riding for 50 years, few years ago sold my 4 th Goldwing with deep regrets just because I felt was getting too heavy, the bike not me.
Had loads of stuff since and recently bought a Rewaco trike, love it but it ain't two wheels.
Bought a Guzzi Breva, light and fun but not a lot of oomph,so found a beautiful Bonnie America on evilBay 2007 with only 4000 smiles on the clock.
Already has slash cut pipes, sissy bar and rack, crash bars, got a screen on order and then ready for my pilgrimage to the IOm for the TT,can't wait.
PS,Brit expat living in France and Portugal and loving it!

Welcome to the forum it looks like the modification bug has already bittern you. I have the Speedmaster and have been through all of those mods myself BGRIN

Thanks for the welcome Dave, haven't even got it yet!!
Currently in Portugal where Andrea and myself have wintered, meandering back to the UK via a stop at the little French cottage before heading to the Uk to collect the new baby.
Paid a deposit by phone Wednesday and it will be delivered to my buddy near London, still get excited at 66 haha.

Yes sir,
Will use in France on way back to Portugal where it's possible to ride almost year round, only recently bought a mobile home here, love it but the roads aren't really great, country is kinda on its knees financially but lovely, welcoming folk with no envy and always smiling.
Think it will take a while to get the language though, took me 15 years to learn French !

:y151:andWELCOMEto the forum from someone who lived in sPAIN for almost 6 years, glad that part of my life's over with.
Should have gone to Germany or France.
Hope that you'll enjoy the forum, as well as your new baby. Take lots of pictures when you get home safely.

welcome from USA, NY! glad to meet you.. now where are the pics????

Hi and thanks to you all for the warm welcome.
Firstly Rocky and Qship,it was my partner Andrea who is from Toronto!! Bought me this wonderful gift,we spent the weekend riding in the spring sun in Portugal riding with friends who all have Harley's but one lent us a spare Yamaha V star, sadly called a Dragstar !! Over here.
Andrea said immediately how she enjoyed the weekend ride and the easy mounting and dismounting on the low seat cruiser. She has a dodgy hip.
However I enjoyed the ride but to be honest just lacking a little grunt on the long straight stretches but fancying a cruiser I started researching evilBay.
Mad on Triumph,I love France and chose it as the perfect riding country 15 years ago but with the introduction of too many speed cameras, even hidden in rubbish bins plus more beaurocracy than you can imagine I have become disillusioned with life there,Spain I like it in parts and of course need to travel the length of it to get to Portugal, but prefer the smiling faces even on the poorest people here when they see a nice bike and always wave as you pass.
DRod as for pics, please be patient haha, the first time I shall see the bike is towards the end of May where it is being delivered to my best friend, serviced and ready for our. annual pilgrimage to the Isle of Man for the TT racing first week of June.
I will try to post the original ad pictures but not savvy with the technology but if it works there will be more from the IOM for sure.
Thanks again for the lovely welcome and for reading this long ramble.Ride safe.

So you're off to the IOM, oh boy that's going to be a treat for a few here. I went there in 1990, asked the girlfriend to marry me at the top of the Laxey wheel, 17 years later we got hitched, well I didn't want to rush into anything, so I thought that I'd take it slow.

Try and go every year but resisted the temptation to propose at Laxey,we are an all guy group haha, stay with a friend right on the circuit at Kirkmichael,he emigrated :whistle2: from Salisbury many years ago and as well as a stonemason he is a part time firefighter and also a Marshall, the first trip after a few beers back in the '70's it was agreed NO WOMEN,that rule still stands today ( sexist bunch)
Mad,I really like your style.BBEER
