HI, all, just got me a 2018 red Street Twin with 10,000 miles on it. A bit rough but I'm sorting it out. My last Triumph left me in 1977. My concern is when the key is on, there is a noise (I assume is fuel pump) that doesn't stop, is that correct? Should it be that noisy, when the engine is not running?
And manual says valve check is not until 20,000 miles! Is that what everyone does, wait that distance? And why are the throttle bodies not synched on the 900 models?
Looking forward to finding lots of good info here.

On my 1200 when you turn the key and it makes a purposeful sound that lasts one second . Afterwards it emits a squeaky whiny little noise that I never noticed before . Not sure how long that it would go on , it’s cold out there .
2 You mean there is no adjustment mechanism to sync them ? That would be odd .

I have the 2019 version of your ST (I bought it used, also red). The fuel pump noise shuts off after a second or two. The bike should be silent after that, if not started.

Congrats on the new ride, hope you can get it sorted out easily.
