So first ride out today after 6 months cooped up. The T120 just reminded me how good it is to ride ---with the smaller rear sprocket and reduced intake trumpet that I fitted end of last year ---it accelerates with real intent and sounds the business, still returns 66mpg and cruises smoothly in sixth. ---SO once again facing dilema --do i sell it and my BMW F800Gt to get one bike to do all ? if so what. The 120 is OK but hard work out with the guys on the twisties. The GT is a great all rounder ---but the wife just hates it! . The Tiger 660 looks fabulous ---seems comfy mmmh but maybe just a tad short on power. Why on earth didn't Triumph put the MOtoGP 756 in it !! -----I suspect they will maybe next year especially if the street tripleR sells well. I guess i will just have to hold on to both bikes ---if I can afford it. IF you could have three dream bikes what would they be? ----it changes with time , but right now ---for sheer terror inducing performance ( I believe that a 'top' bike should have more than you can use ) that demands respect ---the speed triple RS takes some beating then the street triple R --for short 'committed' trips out with the boys. -----my T120 for good day cruising----and yes the 660 for longer trips. don't rate the stupid off beat crank in the newer Tigers---they really missed the boat with this one.
OK then lets see how the season progresses. Good luck and fair weather to all.

yes looked hard at the sport 850----not sure whether its man or beast---kinda mixed up with its off-road biased styling and big 'hoop' up front, yet its a road bike. . had a leg over one and it was comfy though. Can't get past its de-tuned funny crank motor though, why on earth when the normal triples are soooo smooth especially when the bike is destined for long trips did triumph think this was a good idea .also---when all competitors are offering 100bhp or thereabouts the 850 gets , what was it , 85? . OK so , my 120 has 80 and it gets along fine ----in isolation but struggles for quick overtakes on our ---very---crowded summer roads especially , on the short straights we have. My Bm 800 has 90 ---and its 'enough' ---but couldn't do with less. However I am being picky and I suspect you will enjoy it nevertheless. Liked your 'titan' stick had a few of those back in the day. !!

I’m getting better with my 850 after a really rough start . If it had a Triumph crank in it I would be smitten . But why they don’t have a low piped 900 with 110 hp , hard stylish pannier’s and 18 inch front is beyond me . Not my perfect mount but I think the time for such an offering is upon us and the 900 chassis is a natural .

lets hope so----before i get too old to own one!
