Hi

I stay in Cape Town South Africa and have been driving Triumph for the past 5 years. The Triumph brand is still small in South Africa but it is growing fast.

I am technical minded and do all my maintenance and repairs. My hobby is restoring old cars and I have a well equipped workshop at home with a large selection of tools and machines.

Hello and welcome to our forum.

Do you still have a dealer in Cape Town as I noticed the one in Port Elizabeth seemed to now be closed since the new regulation for dealership were introduced.

Thank you to all.

They are in the process or moving away from the individual dealers to a country wide Triumph dealer. The plan is to open a Triumph shop this year in Cape Town. At the moment it is the Kawasaki/Suzuki dealer that is representing Triumph in Cape Town.

I must admit I am a bit disappointed in the brand at the moment. I rely like the bikes a lot but we have been struggling with reliability here in South Africa, especially with gearbox issues on the tigers. There is a lot of failures on these and mine is no exception.
